Empowering Palladium
Impenetrable to every gas but hydrogen, palladium is key to hydrogen-based energy. Palladium membranes are now used to make semiconductors and fertilizer; a new version developed at MIT that’s resilient at much higher temperatures could be used to make hydrogen fuel.
